Abstract
This report covers a period dominated by the national and state elections and the Mid-term review (MTR) of ESSPIN. In response to the changed political landscape, ESSPIN in collaboration with the other DFID State Level Programmes (SLPs,) is developing strategies for engaging with the new political leadership. In response to the MTR, ESSPIN and DFID are working towards a reappraisal of the programme in line with new DFID country priorities and the renewed emphasis on results and value for money
